Volunteer Opportunities

This election year will be like no other. Not only are we charged with keeping Troy, Oakland County and Michigan progressive and welcoming, but our national election pits democracy itself against authoritarian, anti-democratic forces. What will you tell the next generation when they ask what you did to keep America a democracy?

This page is dedicated to providing you with ways to Get Informed and Get Involved. There are hundreds of ways you can help and many do not even require you to leave home.

Make Your Case Face-to-Face

Canvass for a Candidate

Walk door-to-door, meeting neighbors and providing campaign literature. You'll get a list of Dem-leaning voters and a lot of training. A great way to get your steps in!

Volunteer through the Facebook page of your favorite candidate.

Gather Petition Signatures

Nearly every candidate or cause that wants to be on the ballot must first gather petitions. You'll receive extensive training on what is allowed in the process. And the satisfaction of knowing that you helped bring progressive ideas to fruition.

Run for Precinct Delegate

Help neighbors understand issues, work on candidate's campaigns, vote on the Democratic Party platform. Troy and Clawson have many unopposed seats open.

Applications to run are closed. But you can still help!
